Getting a e103 y1 wire failure from nest 3rd generation thermostat. Heat working well, but when i turn on ac, the blower runs for about 30 seconds and kicks off. Condenser (outside unit) does not pop on. Getting a e103 y1 wire failure from nest 3rd generation thermostat. justanswer customer.
So i checked and even cut fresh wire just in case there wasn't good contact since the switching of thermostats. And when this problem occurs it keeps short cycling my ac. E103 is an overcurrent error on the y wire. This could be due numerous things. Does this thermostat connect directly to a zone board, or does it go to the airhandler? Something on the y circuit is overamping ask your own hvac question hmm ok, can you try to remove the wire from the zone board (the y wire) and see if the error happens again My nest thermostat is giving an error (e103) with the y1 wire for my downstairs.
